Carp fishing in France

Welcome to carp fishing in France and fishing holidays, your guide to various venues.

Many carp anglers visit France on a yearly basis, the number appears to be increasing every year, and goodness knows how many new lakes have now sprung up. Here are some short reviews of the lakes I have visited.

A good site which contains loads of information on fishing in France is http://www.anglinggraphics.com/

Fox pool France

After spending many years carp fishing in France. and previously running a successful fishery in France, Tony Amanda & Denis welcome you to Fox Pool, a 3 acre tranquil lake situated in the Indre region of France. (Approx. 4 1/2 hours drive from Calais or 1 hour from Limoges airport)

Carp fishing at La Horre

A natural looking venue of over 150 acres. It contains an awesome amount of big carp to 68 lb. It contains a massive head of 40s and a lot of 50s. Boats are no longer allowed and a change of bailiff is expected for 2006 season. Between our group we managed 16 over 40 in a week session!
Brocard is a group of 2 lakes which are shallow natural and natural looking, the top lake has an abundance of lilies, two of us managed 8 fish in 4 days in August when the fish weren't feeding too well. The average is 30 lb - 45 lb!!

Carp fishing at lesmont

Lac des Lesmont is an excellent venue where two of us managed to land 31 carp to 48.12 oz in 2 days fishing. The gravel pit is 16 acres with tree lined banks and many features. The fish are amongst the hardest fighting I have come across. The lake record is in the upper 50s, loads of 30s. The onsite cabin is immaculate.
